Yeast cell wall derived Beta Glucan is a potent biological compound that can stimulate the immune system by activating the phagocytic white blood cells. Unlike antibiotics, that are very specific in their mode of action, B-glucans have the potential to exert what might be considered a broad spectrum activity against a wide range of disease causing microorganisms.

Mannan, also referred to as Mos, is another yeast cell wall derivative. Mannan helps prevent the intestinal colonization of pathogenic bacteria such as, Salmonella, Escherichia coli and Vibrio cholera by binding to the pathogens.
